🍂 Autumn’s here
The leaves are starting to turn orange, the evenings are drawing in, and we’ve just put the heating on for the first time since April. I’ve been using the cosier evenings to get busy writing, with two articles for you this month:
From the archives
Some of my favourite blogs (one in particular that covers Apple and the wider tech industry…) use a linking pattern that I’m less than keen on; they’ll link to several things using repeated words like ‘here’ or ‘this’. Back in 2022, I wrote about why that can make things tricky for readers: Here, here, and here.
Elsewhere on the web
And finally, here are some of the more interesting bits and bobs I came across around the web during September:
- The Dunning-Kruger effect in accessibility
- The best dark mode toggle is probably none
- Accessible by Design: Documents That Work for Everyone
- Accessible Color Choices Are About So Much More Than Just Contrast
- Foundations: accessibility roles and responsibilities
Anyway, I’m off to settle down at the dining room table and get a bit more writing done. Catch you again at the end of October! ✍️
