HTML email

Call me a glutton for punishment, but I love designing and coding HTML email, whether getting Lotus Notes to play nicely or Dark Mode support.

The tricks and techniques involved in getting an email to display nicely across the multitude of email clients is a hugely enjoyable challenge.

It’s a hark back to my early days of development, catering for the many quirks in browsers like Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and a stark reminder of how things could have been on the web if not for the web standards movement.

Accessibility in your inbox

I send an accessibility-centric newsletter on the last day of every month, containing:

  • A roundup of the articles I’ve posted
  • A hot pick from my archives
  • Some interesting posts from around the web

I don’t collect any data on when, where or if people open the emails I send them. Your email will only be used to send you newsletters and will never be passed on. You can unsubscribe at any time.
